Trd pro lift question

I agree with you, unloaded on mine it looks butt high, once I have gear and people inside I'm leveled out. the only exception is when I hook up my boat then it sags in the rear.
 
Just Lifted

I just lifted my 2016 TRD Pro using the top spacers and springs from this kit 2010-2016 Toyota 4 Runner 4WD 3" lift kit 809H | BDS Suspension

Also went from the stock 265/70/17 Terra Grapplers to 285/70/17 Ridge Grapplers on the factory TRD black wheels.

Shocks and struts left in place, just had to use longer swaybar links.

That looks awesome, how is the road noise with those tires? I've been doing a lot of reading about the lifts available for the TRDP, mainly because It's time fore tires and I want NRG 285's. The only thing to note is a 3" spacer lift is extreme. Your axles are now at a severe angle all the time. There are a lot of other sites that have veteran moders saying 2" is the limit on a spacer lift. Just something for everyone contemplating this to consider. Correct me if I'm wrong...
 
I had the same concern on the axels and received feedback that folks had been running for years without issue. Guess I'll find out with some mileage. As far as road noise it's nonexistent. No difference between the Terra Grapplers and the Ridge Grapplers.

Thanks for the feedback, and posting such detailed comparison pics of the TRDP. Looks badass and again I'm no expert hopefully the axles (CV's) hold up just fine. Its one of those things, ask 5 people get 5 different answers. Now if it was a "which one should I buy" post there would be 30 more responses.
 
My buddy has the same exact trd pro. His is still all factory. I'll get some pics of his axels and post comparison to mine.
 
Toytec TRD Pro lift with the 1.5 SAWS in the rear. New 255/80/17 Cooper STMaxx's. just the slightest rub, driver side front inner well. I had already trimmed quite a bit of fender just from the original lift. Isn't there a how to on how to move that inner gender well?

Yes just search "inner fender well mod 5th gen 4Runner"
 
Just ordered cornfed 2 inch front/1.5 inch rear spacer kit..was told this would work well from the owner. Has anyone else done this? Doesn't look like the rear spring needs to be swapped, just the spacer added? Kind of new to this whole lifting my trd pro thing!

Springs stay, spacer added.
 
Just got the cornfed 2/1.5 inch kit installed. Rides excellent and looks pretty level to me. Currently awaiting my truck to finish its alignment.

I think ultimately, with the Cornfed spacer lift on the TRD Pro, the front will need to be at least .25" higher than the rear and probably .5" in order to obtain an optimum "level" looking stance. I went with 2.25"F/2"R and am happy, but there's still a smidgen of a factory front rake. Which of course is for crash rating purposes... I would be willing to bet though if you measure from the center of the hub, front and back measurements will be equal.
