TRD Pro Roof Cross Bars

Any TRD Pro guys pick up a set of cross bars yet? Definitely going to go with a full roof rack at some point, but I want to pick up some cross bars for now. Not looking for the OEM ones. Anyone have any recommendations? I prefer the look of the ones that stick up a bit. Wanting to throw a kayak, roof box, etc up there.

Check out the Baja Rack; very substantial and I don't notice any wind noise.

also, in case you haven't got it yet, there's a feller working on a group buy for Gobi.

swapping out the factory for a FUNCTIONAL rack was one of the best things done to my FJC and is at the top of my list for this one too. Just sucks to violate the piggybank again so soon ;-)

Agreed. It seems some may be under the illusion that other than a few bolt on's, which for years have been considered as minor mods, the Pro is any different whatsoever.

Great trucks but they remain at the end of the day a 5th (or 5.5) Gen 4Runner and the parts will be interchangeable.

I thinks it's mostly to point out that they have a Pro so therefore they're in a special class :thumb:

Seems to becoming a common theme but let's hope it's not the case.

My bad. New to the word of 4Runners and was unaware that the factory roof rails are the same from one model to another. Came from Land Rovers and that is rarely ever the case.

Ha, it's all good, understandable coming from a Land Rover. After working for them for a few years I know everything is different for every model.
