TRD Pro vs SR5 height

you know. I might have to agree with you on that. Before I make any judgement/statement it's best for to measure the older 2015 TRD PRO first so I'll have an idea, or I might sound like an idiot lol. Before I call anybody wrong with their measurements, there's no reasons for people or anyone to intentionally post wrong measurement on purpose. So yes the older TRD PRO probably don't have difference at the rear compare to SR5.

I personally have a 2016 4x4 SR5 Premium with third row. It measures 21.5inch from center cap to fender flare. The 2019 TRD PRO measures 22.5inch center cap to fender flare.

Now we are talking! If there is a difference Ill get you a beer if you ever find yourself out here!

Appears the Limiteds have different rear springs but I have a hard time actually believing it. I want rear spring paint codes for a Sr5, Trail or Pro

2015 Limited has Purple and Orange rear springs

The 2019 Off Road has 48231-35350 rear spring, are these different rear springs than a 2015 Trail? The 2019 Sr5 also uses 48231-35350.
Also, there is not a trim level for TRD Pro to select from on Toy of Dallas part page.

So are 2015 Sr5 and 2019 sr5 using different rear springs?

I feel like they are all the same rear spring even though they are different part numbers. Maybe the 2019 Pro is a different rear spring, I can't find a part number for the 2019 Pro rear spring.

this is a 2015 TRD PRO. It has pink and orange marking on it. I have a 2016 SR5 Premium 4x4 with third row. I just came back from my garage and looked underneath and it has a pink and orange marking on it as well.

Cool thanks, I'll confirm if my 2015 Limited is Pink/Orange or Purple/Orange.
It looked Purple to me but could have been pink. I'll get a picture.

I mainly want to know about the rear PRO springs so I can replace xreas with TRD Pro suspension. If I need new rear springs or not.

It will be awahile before I pull the xreas but this thread has my interest.

I'm beginning to suspect the 2019 TRD Pro may not use the pink/orange we all have. If I see one I'll stop and look

just go to Toyota dealership and take a quick peek underneath to see if the 2019 TRD PRO rear spring is pink/orange or not. I'm pretty sure it's different because yesterday I measured the 2019 TRD PRO, 2019 TRD OFFROAD, and 2019 SR5 and the 2019 TRD PRO consistently to appear having taller rear fender flare than the other trims I measured.

I can guarantee/confirm you that the picture you posted of your 2015 Limited 4x4 rear spring marking is for sure different than my 2016 SR5 Premium 4x4. I have pink/orange. Yours indeed looks purple/orange and different than mine.

that picture confirmed even my 2016 4runner SR5 Premium 4x4 have the same rear springs if using the color code logic. Pink and Orange. However the parts department people told me they are different part numbers. Maybe they had no idea what they're looking up lol

I guess there's really no solid/definite answer to this myth. Again, 2019 TRD PRO still seems taller than the rest of the other 2019 4runners trims that I measured at the rear. Even if half the parts department people says they're the same rear springs, and the other half says they're slightly different, and EVEN looking underneath the vehicle myself seeing it's the same rear color code springs.

My ACTUAL measurements still came out to be:
2019 SR5 21.5 inches from center cap to rear fender
2019 TRD OFFROAD 21.5 inches or 22 inches from center cap to rear fender
2019 TRD PRO "consistently" 22.5 inches from center cap to rear fender
used 2015 TRD PRO 22 inches from center cap to rear fender.

A good thing to put it this way is to think:
SR5 shortest, TRD OffRoad middle, TRD PRO tallest. Even if people believe they're all the same rear springs. I believe what I see with my own eyes from actual measurements.

They're all exactly the same. It's time to accept your measurements were either wrong or not stock models. I literally posted a picture on page 2 of two side by side 2020 MY vehicles that are visually the same height, and use the same rear coils.

I'm pretty positive my measurements was correct and consistent too. I've measured multiple TRD PROs and TRD OFFROADs and SR5s. And not one single brand new TRD PRO have gone below 22.5 inches stock (left or right sides at the rear) from center cap to rear fender. TRD Offroad and SR5 only reached 21.5 inches or sometimes 22 inches.
Maybe it all comes down to individual vehicles and individual springs, and how much gas it has in the fuel tank and if the 4runner has third row seating or not. It all matters. But idk if those factors will be enough to vary up to an inch of difference. As all the brand new 4runners I measured ranged anywhere from 21.5 inches to 22.5 inches at the rear STOCK.

My stock TRD Pro measures 22.5" from the center cap to rear fender with a 3/4 tank of gas and Gobi roof rack. Your mileage may vary.

I mean it's very unlikely you'll find stock current SR5 or even TRD Offroad model to reach 22.5 inch center cap to rear fender. Every SR5 and TRD Offroad I measured is 21.5 to 22 inch at most for TRD OFFroad and SR5.

That is exactly why I STILL think the TRD PRO is higher at the rear. Even if people think they're same rear springs, then who's know what's causing that 0.5 to 1 inch extra lift at the rear...

I've seem the same rear spring for TRD PRO, but however it seems less compressed I've noticed compared to other models.

One possibly and logically answer to that I can think of is maybe the TRD PRO uses rear Bilstein shocks and now the rear Fox shocks, and maybe it's because they are stiffer and less compressible thus usually keeping the rear taller?? That's the only possible answer I can presume.

TRD PRO rear Bilstein or Fox shocks holds up the rear weight better. Thus making the rear taller EVEN if using same springs. My best guess.

Actually shocks don’t do any difference in hight , spring does, it could be just taller or stiffer spring.

Probably your measurements are right. I think I now last logical explanation to it. When you taking off rear spring, there is a plastic cone used as a spacer , I would like to see how thick are they, between SR5 and PRO. Maybe?
