TRD Pro Wheels with 285/70/17's

I bought TRD Pro wheels without realizing that they were only 7" wide. Who else is running these with 285/70's?

I'm looking at an ICON Stage 1 kit with 285/70/17 Nitto-Terra Grappler G2's

I know people have done it. Some said it was fine, some said it felt more stable when they switched to a 8" wide wheel. So I think it's really up to you at this point.

What he said^^^^^. However the expedition overland crew is running them on their Tacoma with 285s. Food for thought-

I think as long as you don't air down too low you should be fine. For me living in the desert and going to the dunes I air way down, so these def wouldn't work, and I'd run the risk of a problem. Ultimately I think you'd be fine as others have done it in the past as pointed out.
