TRD Super Charger

So if were looking at getting a supercharger but not trying to break any records, are the supporting mods necessary? I rarely push it over 3k rpm and would be even less frequent if I had more power down low. I'd hate to fall victim to a blown motor because I went cheapo on it. The 7th injector kit is not cheap!

I'm running the S/C with no additional fueling mods and a 2.2 pulley. Had it for the past 30k miles with no issues. I do live at higher altitude though.

You're going to s/c your 300+ motor. You sir have balls. Might have a hook up on a good deal for a s/c. PM me if you're interested.

Try methanol injection instead, you could do it for half the price of the 7th easily. And it will prevent pinging

Any other guesses as to why a p0171 code is showing up?

-Possible boost leak?
-Bad o2 sensor(s)?
-IAC check valve?
-Clogged PCV valve?

When I had my '96 I was getting this code when I had the deckplate mod. I screwed it back in and cleared the code. It never came back on after that. What size pulley are you using? Not sure what size I had on that s/c (1st gen), but it must have been a 2.1 because it was noticeably faster than my current setup with 2.2

It was bad up stream o2 sensor on my dad's that caused the issue. Tried the simple things first, vacuum leaks, Maf cleaning, and was going to try and replace fuel filter, but couldn't get it off the fuel line. Finally bought a new o2 sensor for my runner and used my old one on his to test to see if it work, and the code went away since.

One good thing about having three 3rd gen runners in the family is being able to change parts out without buying new ones to test if they have a faulty part
