Well of course this is all my opinion. The 4 is nice but it's not LC nice. The LC also has that sweet 5.7 V8. Coming from a Denali you might not like the power of the 4runner. It has enough power for whatever but it's not V8 power. Over all the LC is of course a nicer vehicle. But...15K less for the 4runner? Thats a lot of money man. I think with that much of a difference in price I would also lean towards the 4runner, put $5K into mods, and invest the rest.
With that said, if you are going to get the 4runner and mod the hell out of it, you can save a lot more on a 4runner if you don't get the PRO. Modding a PRO is like paying for things twice. The PRO is just a Trail Edition/now OFF-road edition, with some appearance items attached to it. You can save an additional $5K at least by going with a Off-road vs the PRO.
I bought my Trail for $35K out the door saving me $7k over a PRO model at MSRP. $7k buys a lot of mods. So if you plan on modding a PRO it is smarter to buy a OFF-road instead. But if you are going to get a PRO and NOT mod it then that is the way I would go IMO because of good resale. Hope all this makes sense.
