About myself: I'm 17 years old and a senior in high school. I love working on motors and have been riding motorcycles since the age of 3 with my dad. He inspires me so much. I have a part time job and anything I want done on the car, I have to pay for. Any tips or help is much appreciated!
I don't really know where to start, so I'll tell you a little background info on the 4Runner. My dad bought the car with ~89,000 miles on it back in '08 for roughly $10K (I was only 14 at the time). It may seem like a lot for such an old car but there was very little to no damage on the car. It was in perfect condition! After driving the car for a couple months, both me my dad and my mom didn't like how soft the rear suspension was. The back end was too "saggy". We ended up getting OME 906 coils and Monroe shocks. They worked great to get rid of the sag, but it still seems a bit bouncy to this day every time you hit a bump. Fast forward 3 years later, and the car is finally mine!
I don't have a picture of the car when we bought it. The only thing different is the stock 5 star wheels.
Unfortunately early this year, around February, I got into an accident. Nothing serious and it wasn't my fault, thank god! Everybody in the accident was okay. At least I got a brand new bumper!
No mods were put on the 4Runner for the year that I drove it. To be honest I really didn't care the way the car looked. I thought the car was badass even if 99% of it was stock. (And they still are!) Well, about 2 months ago I discovered this site and began reading build threads. I was astonished with the work all these people pit into their rigs and it inspired me! I wanted to do so much to the 4Runner!

In auto today I took the running boards off and I am SO happy I did. It makes the rig look so much better IMO.
