TreadWright Sucks

Nice pick up on the STT's. I have them on my 4runner now and I really like the look, but they are a bit loud. I've read mixed reviews about them being quiet in the beginning, but loud about 1/2 tread. I haven't been able to take them out yet though, so I can't give you any reviews with that. Although I wouldn't be doing anything close to the wheeling you do.

Gald you got some tires anyways and the STT's will look sick on your 4runner.

You want loud? Haha grab some Mickey Thompson MTZs. We have a set on our 4runner and at 50mph it sounds like an airplane.

well brian i like you was against these and after doing some research about them was up for giving them a try as a second set of tires strictly for 4wheeling, but now with your recent experience you have pulled me back off the fence from them, thanks for the heads up and yes i dont like being d1cked around my companies with out a good reason or compensation. i would have done the same thing, and will let others know of your experience if asked...

Well I myself was satisfied with their customer service, but if I was in your shoes I would not be. As for the tires, I like em!

Thanks. Yeah, my current Maxxis Bighorns sing show tunes down the road now so the Coopers can't be any worse I'm sure. I doubt the TreadWrights would've been quiet either.

My neighbor ran the STTs and they are sweet tires. They did awesome in the snow too (much better than most M/Ts IMO).

I think if I was on the highway with my Bighorns driving next to you with your Mickey Ts, we would start an earthquake!

STTs are good tires though. A few of my buddies run them on their wranglers and have nothing but good things to say about them. Big horns are stupid loud tires too :lmao:

I'm still a lil shell shocked from our SUPER SERIOUS earthquake that we got in Maryland hahaha.

I remember that quake on the news when I was a kid! I felt the Northridge quake in '94 and I REALLY felt the Big Bear/Landers quake in '92. We had a big, heavy 40" or so TV fall off the table and a bunch of little stuff got broken in that one. I think that one cracked our chimney too IIRC.

Im glad my school is built ON the san andreas fault. Right on the part of the fault that is bound up. It makes my geology major that much more interesting!

Glad you bout them tires brian!

Hmmm just saw this thread. I had no problems with TW but I got a common size. I'd be unhappy in your shoes too. FYI I have been pleased with mine so far...been roughly 10k miles.
