Ok so I am looking at getting new tires as with my steel front and rear bumpers and 3inch lift my stock 265/70s look super goof. Anywho I am on a super tight budget and 500 bucks for 285 wardent a/t are super appealing to me, however after calling in to treadwright and asking for the weight of the tire they came back saying it was 66lbs!!! That seemed really heavy for a 285 as the bfg a/t in that size is 56lbs and thats in a E rated tire not d rated which I was gonna get from treadwright. I have a feeling that this tire could really kill my gas mileage and maybe it would be worth it just to get a new 285. Lol even their 265/75/16 warden a/t weighs in at wopping 55lbs. What do you guys think??

I run them. They're heavy as hell. I didn't weigh them but its my understanding that they are a lot heavier than a new tire.

I have 265 75 and they are heavy, but only loss about 1mpg if that.

285/75/16 Wardens. I can't comment much on the gas mileage, mine wasn't great to start. Wouldn't say it killed it but it definitely detracted a bit. Honestly though, of you're concerned much about MPG, these aren't the right vehicles for you. They're heavy, body on frame trucks that are aero dynamic as a brick. They were engineered when MPG wasn't any concern.
Mine are heavy as hell.
Lost about 3-4 MPG with TRD/LC lift and tires.
I have the Guard Dogs.
They are also stiff because of the weight requiring airing way down for a comfortable ride. I have 30 but feel better with 29 PSI.
It's a hard pill to swallow, but when replacing these I might go with 255/85/16 KM2's next. Same height, lower weight, probably a bit better mileage.

i have had treadwrights they suck. no sidewalls and for a little more you can buy new. look around
I have the AT's and they aren't too bad. With that said, I won't go this route again to "save" a few bucks. Two of my tires were too out of round and couldn't be balanced per their instructions.
They sent me two tires to replace the two bad ones but at this point, any savings I had, is gone. I've paid to have them mounted, balanced twice, now I have to pay to have the new ones mounted and balanced.
Not trying to sway you one way or the other, just letting you know my experience of trying to save with the TW tires. I will say I had a good customer experience when reaching out about the two tires.
