tried plastidip on the rims today!

I watched a couple videos on what to and what not to do when, applying and I went with applying it while still on the 4R I out trash bags behind the rims to cover the rotors and caliper and to do all four tires I used about 1.5 cans of black it's just a feeler color to see if I actually liked it and it looks pretty good!

I just painted my 04's wheels Gunmetal Gray with Plastidip. I thought it turned out well also.

Just FYI, I just had to go through taking all my plastidip off. I used 1 can per 2 wheels. It wasn't enough. It made it a nightmare to remove. I had to use a lot of brake cleaner to get some of it off. When I redo it I am definitely using a can per wheel. It was just to thin and was tearing instead of peeling off.

Why didn't you just add more plastidip and then remove it??

It doesn't really adhere to the old, thin plastidip. It's weird to explain. It just creates a whole new layer on top of the old.

wd40 works well when taking off plastic dip that is thin. i used wd40 and a carwash to take it off my rims
