Tried removing map lights in 5th gen, couldn't do it.

Got the covers off, then went to pull the little bulbs out but couldn't! What am I doing wrong???? Tried everything - fingers, rubber gloves, even pliers, and the damn small light bulbs won't come out. What did you guys do to remove them? I'm trying to replace them with Philips 194 LEDS. Thanks for the help

The map lights on my 2017 Tacoma was PITA to remove too, but I used a piece of Scotch tape and taped it to the bulb then pull it out, it worked like a champ, I learned this trick from YouTube.

THIS is exactly what I needed. (I tried it with scotch tape the one time I tried to remove the lights and they did not stick, lol) Thank you!!

had a crazy hard time too.. i wrapped electrical tape the opposite way on a pair of small pliers and it came out super easy..

I did it similarly. Double sided tape on either side of needle nose pliers.

Gentle but firm pressure on the bulb and they'll come right out.

I did roughly the same thing, wrapped electrical tape around small needle nose pliers with the sticky side out. I grabbed the bulb as close to the base as possible and gently pulled
