Did a little wheeling and exploring in Moab from March 11-16 with the dudes TCMach, Twenman4, derpiful, ARC,
and a couple other cruiser guys.

We had a great time, no one broke and there were only a couple of sketchy moments.

Drove Friday night to our campsite in the canyon along Highway 128.

Saturday morning we woke up, cooked breakfast and loaded up to run Steel Bender, rated a 5-8 on Trail Damage. We ran the trail from north to south. This was a fun trail, but it ended up being kind of long because it was bumpy and had lots of smaller ledges and drops that prevented driving fast between larger obstacles.

Rob opted to come down the line to the left of the wall. It was way sketchier than dropping the wall because it was really tippy towards the front passenger tire. We didn't send anyone else down this route.

The second day we ran Flat Iron Mesa, rated a 5-7 on Trail Damage.

This trail ended up being really fun as well, the obstacles weren't as fun as Steel Bender, but the trail between obstacles was more fun. It was also smooth enough that we made good time on the trail.

Beautiful morning at camp

The next day we decided to do an easier trail. The idea was to run Onion Creek to part of the Kokopelli Trail to La Sal Loop Road and end up back on Highway 128.

Once we got to the La Sal loop we went up in elevation. We found some snow, enough to get me and my brother stuck (didn't take photos of either recovery though). The road beneath the snow was nasty too.

I don't have any pictures of La Sal Loop road, but as we went up further in elevation the snow was over 2 feet deep across the whole road. That ruined our plans of looping back to the highway, so we went back the way we came.

Once we made it back to Onion Creek we drove back to town to spray the mud off the trucks before it dried.

That was the end of day 3. Andrew headed home that night. The next morning Tyler and Hayden headed out of Utah as well. That left just Tracy and I on day 4. We ran Gemini Bridges, Four Arches Canyon and Arth's Pasture.

Killer photos Chris. Soooo bummed I missed the trip this year!

Thanks Kyle! We will have to get out a bunch locally to make up for it.

good stuff, looks like so much fun...

Thanks, it was a good trip!

These pictures are SWEEEEET!

Had an absolute blast out there! Can't wait for the video

Thanks Hayden. Glad you could make it. Feel free to post your photos in here too duder! I need to get videos from you this week.

Nice! I ran Flat Iron Mesa last year (http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-g...ota-4runner-off-road-pics-74.html#post2162023) but was too chicken to run Easter Egg Hill after the Rubicon in our group almost kissed the rock. I figured my lack of articulation compared to him would lean me into it. That of course meant I didn't do Intimidator either. But, we ran the Chute just like you all and had to be winched out at the top as well. You can go hard right before the exit of the Chute and descend back down to the main trail, but that looked sketchy.

Good info on Steel Bender and the Wall obstacle. I plan on running that trail on my next trip out.

Also cool to see Tracy back on the trail. I remember seeing photos of his damage on Wipe Out Hill last year!

Nice, looks like you guys had a good time! Glad to see those 5th gens doing work. One of the cruisers with us took that way out of the chute, it wasn't too bad but he smacked his bumper pretty good on one of the ledges.

Definitely run Steel Bender north to south so you drop down the wall. That thing would be ridiculous to climb up.

Tracy was a little less aggressive on obstacles this year, and it worked out better! Haha.

Looks like you had a great time. Love the pictures.

Hard to have a bad time out there. Thanks!

thanks for making us all jealous with the great pics.

I'm squeezing as many spring breaks out as possible, but this was my last one unfortunately...

Happy to provide the photos!

Finally got around to going through all of my photos and editing them. Here they are!

I posted a few more (mainly of my 4Runner) in my build thread if you're interested. (link in signature)

I was up in Moab the same days with a couple of buddies of mine.

Believe I passed your group on Sunday night on the 191 south of town. Was in the lifted black 4runner probably waving like a goofball.
