Trouble Free 03-06 V6 Owners

I see threads where people post about issues they're having but it's rare to see posts about the opposite. My main concern with my truck is the head gasket. How many can say they're past the 120,000 mile mark with an 03-06 V6 and haven't had a head gasket issue. The chances seem bad when people only post about problems so I'd like to see some positive posts where people haven't had to deal with that issue.

Not that it helps, but I have 104,000 miles on my V6 (2005). No issues.

Can't say I have done that yet, but as the original owner with the 83k miles she has, I can say I have had no problems at all thus far. A bit worried about the head gasket, but as of now with ownership hitting 10+ years what can I say? At this point cost has been GAS, 1 set of tires, oil and filters, and some brake pads and front rotors, with the rest being mod money which doesn't count. I only WISH I could go for another 10 years with these items as being my only expense. Though it is a Toyota, it is still a car which = cash.

Just turned over 165,000 miles yesterday! 3rd owner since 80k. Oil, lube, rotate tires every 5k. Minor service at every 15k. Major service at every 30k. New a/c compressor at 100k, new front calipers around 120k, scrap xreas with new bilsteins and fj springs at 155k.
If I have to, I will spend $3000 on new head gaskets. No problems yet. Not really worried about it.
Figured I spent close to $3000 for other than normal preventive maintenance. Not bad for 85k miles. That's only like $.03 per mile.

Trying to keep it for 03-06 as it's understood the new head gasket was introduced in 07 or so.

Lol, I had to google a320 and I'm guessing it's the plane you're referring to which would make sense as I'm familiar with the Boeing 757 but in my case 757 is the Hampton Roads area of VA.

Nice plane. I used to spend lots of my flying in A300s (AA), 757s (AA), 767s (LAN). Flew on most of what's out there. I have yet to travel on A380 and 747s.

As [MENTION=50591]gaterose[/MENTION] mentioned, I was afraid to post too in that I might also jinx myself. Hey, if it happens, it happens. I think we're all mentally prepared for it.

About 1000 mile till I hit 275,000 miles not 1 engine related problem yet. Did have the driver side wheel bearing go and take the caliper and axle out with it. Also my ac relay went out in 105 degree weather but swapped with fog relay and was blowing cold again. I'm still waiting on my head gaskets to go :noidea:

2004 V6 with 147k, no engine issues at all. Water pump and that is it. Great vehicle. Phil

124K on mine and trouble free motor! Ive had the right front wheel bearing fail epicly but other than that its been the best vehicle we have ever owned! It still runs, steers, and drives like a brand new truck!

I swear by these vehicles and theres no constant rattling, loose steering, creaks, etc. I am very anal about maintenance and I keep my vehicles for a long time and this one will easily go to 300k miles

2003 Sport just a few ticks shy of 174,000. Replaced the valve cover gaskets around 150K, but no head gaskets <knocks wood>. Nothing but scheduled maintenance per the manual otherwise (brakes as needed though). Actually selling it to my younger brother tomorrow. Wouldn't do that if I had any worries!

05 sport with 113K and change. I haven't owned it long but I have all the service records for it since new, no HG issues to speak of (or any other issue outside the normal maintenance)

2006 SR5 4x4 - 148,000 with no mechanical issues yet. I am the second owner and have only done brakes, one axle shaft, front wheel bearings and exhaust pipe cat-back. Other than that ... knock on wood.
