trouble w/ superbrightleds

Looking for help from anyone who has put in reverse lights from SUPERBRIGHTLEDS.COM.

Installed mine and they work fine...until I step on the brakes while in reverse. As soon as I step on the brakes the driver's side reverse light shuts off, and the blinker amber lights up.

Is this an issue with the LEDs not drawing enough power and making the system think the light is out? Do I need a resistor of some sorts? Electrical is NOT my strong suit by a long shot.

I searched through the forum finding problems but none like this and none with a solution. Any help would be great.

i got reverse LED's from SBL, and i got no issue. what was the item you bought?

Go back over your wiring. It sounds like you have a bad ground or missing a ground causing the lights to back feed power through others

These trucks aren't canbus systems so there's no computer seeing if a bulb is out, only the one built in to the flasher relay for your turn signals. It sounds like power is being back fed, and if it just started after you installed these lights then they are likely the culprit. Which lights did you install? Are they single intensity bulbs or dual intensity (7440 or 7443)? Did you install LED turn signals too?

I installed a 7440 bulb, NON CAN Bus, single intensity bulbs. I only installed the reverse lights on both sides. Maybe I'll pull it back out and flip it around and plug it back in. I'll go over the wiring while I'm in there too.
