Trouble with TE skids on a SR5.

Hey fellas, I'm a little frustrated right now. I bought a middle skid plate from a TE thinking it would be cool to have a little extra protection for my SR5. I assumed it would bolt right on, but I'm having a hell of a time finding any way it will connect/ line-up with the SR5 front skid and crossmember.

I had assumed the SR5 and TE front skids were the same....I guess I was wrong? Maybe it has something to do with KDSS?

If anyone could post an undercarriage pic of their TE with stock skids I would appreciate it.

Swaybar placement. Actually, the SR5 has a little more clearance because the TE swaybar hangs down further.

Is that a TE? I don't see a middle skid (over the transmission) at all.

Yes the picture was my Trail as it came. Purchased new with only with 330 miles on it. So if there ever was a plate there I never knew about it. I always did wonder about the apparent mounting points. The lack of protection spurred me to the budbuilt skids purchase.

Thanks for the pic. Once I got under there, I realized the front OEM skid is two pieces. The "middle skid" I bought was the rear portion of the OEM setup....oh well. If anyone needs a very lightly used middle skid to replace a damaged on it's yours for shipping only.

Anyway, I also replaced my fuel tank skid with a full-coverage type from a TE. Went on easy (about 30 min.) with the help of a friend. I'm getting her closer to the way I want her a little at a time.

If your talking about the skid that mounts to the attach points in Mick1's picture (under the transmission) I'll take it. My TE was missing it from the dealer.

I can not believe how cheap Toyota is getting. All 4th gens, SR5-Limited got full gas tank skids. I guess next gen there will not even be 1/2 of one.

That's actually all there is. Those attach points are what threw me off in the first place. There is no OEM skid that attaches there as far as I know.
