TRS morimoto elite hid install..where does this cable go?

I just got my kit in today and am a bit puzzled. Everything makes sense except one section:

I've searched and searched and I don't see anyones morimoto install showing this cable that has 2 prongs on one end (one red and one black cable). All the other pictures I see have some type of connector to link up to..

Any ideas? Maybe they sent me the wrong part or maybe I don't need this cable since I have the HD Relay with OEM input?

Lmao, it blew my mind too. You actually remove the pigtail with the black and red wires and plug from the harness.
It's not needed for our trucks. Pull on the plug with the yellow rubber thing and it will pull the wires out of the black rubber seal.

You will need it on one side to get power from your OEM headlight plug to signal the system. It is not needed on the other side though.

BTW, they quit sending the 9006 male connectors with the kit. You can just plug the red and black connectors into your OEM headlight plug.

I think indirectly, yes.
But, since it will be hard to plug that directly into the OEM headlight plug, see if this will work.

See Photo below:

Plug #1 red & black (circled in green) into your OEM plug behind the grey dust/water cover.
Plug #2 (circled in red) into #3 (also circled in red) ....see of those are both 9006 connectors.

That should get you your signal from behind the grey dust cover to your OEM input line.

Mine are all tucked into and behind the inner fender or I would have pulled them to see if this is exactly how mine is!

Well that worked like a charm thanks fellas! Been wanting to do an HID install for 10+ years, this was my first stab at it. Well worth it!

Fogs will be the next thing addressed, may just get some lamin-x covers for now.

One more question about the install from last night: I mounted the main HD harness similar to Saker (right next to battery), and then I routed the passenger side cable right underneath the plastic cover extends across the front of the engine bay. Is there where you guys ran it?

Should I be concerned about heat from the radiator, essentially being directly above it?

IIRC, I ran mine with the wiring harness already there above the radiator and under the upper support.
I haven't had any issues at all.
TRS is well made stuff. I don't think you'll have any issues!

Could you post a few pics of the install? I tried to install my set today, but it its incredibly tight. I couldn't spot a good place to mount anything in there. Just curious what you did.

Old thread but I wanted to say thanks for these images. This is axactly where I was stuck at during my install today. I couldn't figure out how to get the oem input connected.
