Got it with brand new tires, front brakes, k&n drop in filter,2 month old $100 tint job with lifetime warranty, and recent oil change, and all three new belts on the drive system.

I began a deep interior deep cleaning, including removing the carpet. It removed 90% of any smell that came with the purchase and took me only a few hours.

Carpet was soaked in carpet cleaner followed by vinegar, and then pressure washed at 3000psi, dried 100% in less then an hour, left out overnight to be safe.

Looking nice without the steps to me

Began cleaning the rear mat, the dark stuff back and forth is some vinegar over some bad spots and some cleaner

Plastics cleaned up

I didn't like the off colors of the seat bolts in front so I painted them

Everything back together, I installed some SS screws in the rear trim piece on the floor because the OEM screws were not doing the job.

The next day I dug around in the engine bay. I plan to do a ton of maintenance to this thing. This white wire coming from the fuse box pulled right off the battery terminal. :keke:

OEM Battery to chassis ground

I decided to sleeve the white wire, hydraulically crimp a copper terminal on, and added a bit of heat shrink. I like doing stuff once.

Stock engine to chassis ground on the right, and the new 4ga on the left:

Cleaned all the terminal connections with a wire brush also

Picked up three gallons of water to flush the cooling system with, and I still need to get my transmission fluid, just ordered all this for a big overhaul,

Will you use the steps in the future? I'm looking to buy some since mine didn't come with them.

Wheels I coated with aerosol plastidip, you can buy it at Lowes, Home Depot, or Ace Hardware near the spray paint.

Hats off to you for tackling the carpet cleaning. Looks good. I've been wanting to do but never got the nerve. I think the dirty headliner bothers me more than the carpet. PO was just dirty and didn't give a Schmidt about the truck.

Painting seat belt bolts? Attention to detail. I like it! I have a 2WD myself, thought I could keep it stock, but who am I trying to kid?

Didn't get as much done as I wanted but I did the following:

1: Installed fuel filter
2: Flushed coolant system
3: Filled coolant system with distilled water
4: Installed trans cooler
5: Flushed transmission fluid
6: Painted motor brush guards
7: Sucked old brake fluid out of reservoir, and refilled.

After doing all of this... my cruise control works for the first time!!! Yes!!!

It took me a long time to fab up a bracket for the cooler, and I also painted it black.

Did all this yesterday

•Bled air and old fluid from brakes
•Flushed power steering
•Flushed radiator for the third time (getting it really clean)
•Cleaned air intake tube
•Cleaned throttle body
•Changed PCV valve
•Cleaned up tubing where the ends were cracked, by clipping an inch off and I was able to have enough to reconnect. (Preventive maintenance)
•Cleaned grime from around the power steering cap, oil cap, and PCV valve surroundings. All were caked with a 1/16 of hard thick 20 year old grease.

Rock the 2wd. I use one as my DD to tow a trailer for my detailing business. I have modded the heck out of mine and I treat it like a baby. Detailed religiously. I have an old beater Jeep 4wd for the beach and such here in flat ass N FL. Would not own a jeep normally but got it as a trade for some work. Have never even washed or vacuumed it..

A/C blower fan cleaning

This is my third vehicle, two previously were a Dodge Ram 1500 5.7 and a Challenger SRT8. I have taken all of the blower motors out at once time or another to clean them.

This however is the first one that you can disassemble to clean! Huge bonus points.

It turned my sink black and you wouldn't imagine the smell it gave off. unfortunately I didn't get a photo of the other side which was completely BLACK.

Drilling the Firewall

Pulled the EVAP system out of the way on the driver engine bay side to drill a hole in the firewall, I finally got to use my waterproof compression grommet I bought nearly 5 years ago and never used. I cut out a makeshift gasket from an old bicycle tire tube with some plastic adhesive for now until I get some black RTV.
