Tuff Country lift

Hello all, I am new to the 4runner scene and I am looking to put a lift on my 2008 SR5. I was talking to a shop and they recommended a 3" tuff country suspension lift. Does anyone run this lift or have any insight on it?

Well from my experience in the jeep world. Any rough, tough, whatever country brand stuff is pretty poor quality and will cause issues. Taking that and applying it to Toyota ifs makes me want to scream hell no. If your looking for a decent lift look at toytec or metaltech. Just remember the say you get what you pay for.

The recommended lift is probably just a standard spacer lift. For a street driven only vehicle they work ok. But can lead to problems if used off-road. I would recommend looking into a Bilstein or OME setup.

Thanks for the input, it is greatly appreciated. I plan on doing some off roading and exploring, so I will look into the bilstein and OME stuff.
