So I installed this setup over the weekend and would like to share some thoughts for those interested in going this route.
I was looking for a little lift and an improved ride. My stock 99 talls had 100k miles on them as did the shocks. Well so I thought until I noticed one of the bottom shock mount cups was turned the wrong way - cup was facing away from the bushing. Anyway, I digress... :violin:
The ride is much improved and has definitely firmed up. Not so much that it's harsh though. I'd say it's just about right.
BUT I'm a little concerned on the travel with those 5100's. I will take some measurements tonight, but my gut reaction is the 906 springs are a tad too short to run the Tundra 5100. Does anyone else have an opinion on this?
You must run the sway bar with this setup otherwise you'll lose your springs at full droop.
I really don't want to go any higher, but I'm considering picking up some 890's just to see the difference in ride quality giving those 5100's some more room to travel. Does anyone think it will make a difference?
