Do must guys use there 4Runner calipers as a core or just eat the core charge?

The store took mine in for a core. I told them I was upgrading and they did not seem to care. I imagine they get all sorts of crap back from repair shops, probably do not even check it. Heck, some of the counter guys couldn't look at the stuff and tell whats what.

I've been told they will take them back no problem. But I do have the concern about shipping them back if I order online. They may look into it a little more when shipping them back for the core.

The guy at Napa didn't even look in my boxes. For all he knows I could have just put a big rock in each box...

I was thinking the same thing. Part of why I asked. Thought it might be good for others to know how its been handled by the different company's.

I've been running them for a few months. No issues. I ate the core charge because summit make you pay for core return shipping and because of the weight return shipping wasn't worth it for me.

.

Most places will pre-pay the shipping in advance (Rock Auto is $17 FYI) and deduct it from your core return.

I have the PowerStop and so far so good. Though I think my rotors are warping...

I'll get the boss' approval and hopefully get these ordered then. I'll let you guys know if they accept my core. For $80 it's worth a try.
