Tundra springs in front, 906's in the rear?

As the title says, i want to go this route. i found a set of tundra springs with bilstein 5100's up front and now i am wondering if i should go with OME 890's or OME 906's. I want the truck to sit level, or just a tad bit of rake... but not alot. because i don't off-road a ton. can anybody post pictures if they have either of these combos...Thank you!

Also interested in seeing this. For those posting pics please make sure to specify which mounting notch in the 5100's you used for the spring perch, and if you have any extra weight front or rear.

What Tundra springs? TRD? That will make a difference. If you plan on going Tundra/906 then the first (lowest) perch on the 5100's is what you want, granted they are the TRD coils. This will give you roughly 2" of lift up front. The 906's will give you ~2" in the back and it should be level.

If you go 890 in the back then put the 5100's on the second perch. This will yield you ~.25-.5" rake.

There is a little rake, especially when the fuel is low. I originally was going to get the 906 coils and use 10mm trim packers for the rear if I saw any reverse rake. I chose the 890's because of the softer 190lbf/in. spring rate vs. the 906's 220lbf/in. rates.

My first lift was TRD coils in front on Bilstein HDs (which would be the same as 5100 on the bottom) and OME 890s. Tires are the stock size 265/70-16. The coils are new and have not settled.

Paid $220-250 shipped new from from shoptrd out of Texas.

$85 is a steal assuming they're the right springs with correct color dots on them.

I would agree. The ones you want are yellow/yellow (drivers side) and yellow/blue (Passenger side).

The TRD/890 setup will be ~1" high in back. If you want level, I would think you would want the TRD/906 setup and add a 10mm trimpacker if needed to lift the rear a touch.

exactly what i want. i already have the 906's/billies on rear. when this combo settles, does the front sit higher without the rear spacers? can the spacers wait?

Questions about the Tundra Front / 906 Rear with Bilstein 5100's Front & Rear

I just dropped my 3rd Gen off to get the Tundra Front / 906 Rear with Bilstein 5100's Front & Rear installed. My goal is to get a 2" lift front/rear with no rake.

As I was looking at the parts, I think I was shipped the wrong springs and am wondering if this will cause a problem that I need to fix before the install.

My order below:
The items you ordered:
SPRING, FRONT COIL, RH - 48131AF090 (365 lbs)
SPRING, FRONT COIL, LH - 48131AF100 (370 lbs)

I was shipped:
48131-35290 (LH) White/Red (looks like 338 lbs)

I ordered Tundra TRD springs but was shipped 4Runner springs.

I measured the springs I was shipped and they are 13" tall.
I measured the 906s and they are 15" tall.

Any advice? If I need to replace the springs, I need to do it fast as the Runner is at the shop.

I have this same lift planned out, and the part numbers I have for the front coils are the same as what you ordered:

I did the Tundra front coils and the 906 springs on the rear with Bilstein 5100 shocks. The lift was 2", but the front struts have the capability to go higher, if desired. The ride is a lot better and no sloppy response form the Ugly Trucklin has been noted.

Thanks for the quick reply everyone. Basically Toyota Parts Overstock (Lakeland Toyota) made a parts substitution without my knowledge and didn't have the decency to tell me they made a substitution. I called them and they want to charge me a 20% re-stocking fee for sending me a part I didn't order and they want me to pay return shipping. Ridiculous.

Get your credit card company involved. File a dispute with them with the info of what you ordered vs what was received. That will get Lakeland's attention.

Tundra TRD coils is probably what I'll do in the front. Do they offer an advantage over '99 talls/5100s or the OME front springs/5100 combo?
I'll go with the 906/5100 in the back

The big advantage of the proper tundra coils from what I've read is that they're progressive rate, meaning there soft on the little bumps and get progressively stiffer on big bumps. The idea is that you get the best of both worlds onroad/offroad.
