6 lug to 5 lug conversion adapters. I found mine on Ebay but there are quite a few out there. They are 2" thick but with the deeper inset on Tundra rims you only get 1.5" of that pushing your tires out. The downfall, tons of nuts to get to your breaks or other components. I have to take the 5 lug nuts off, then the 6 bolts for the adapter and finally the 6 lug nuts holding the spacer on to my stock hub. so that's 17 per tire...

Adapters are not DOT approved and introduce a point of failure as well as put additional stress on your suspension components. If you have an issue with them, there is a good chance that your insurance will deny the claim. I wouldn't take the chance.

No spacers are. Period. With that said, I wheel the hell out of mine without issue. I've taken them apart to do different things and they are always tight.
There's always the debate, everyone has opinions, in the end it's a personal choice OP. That's how you make them fit though.

I wouldn't really be concerned over opinion. I would be concerned over not being covered by insurance. It isn't worth the risk to me when you can buy wheels that fit.
He isn't going to break them so he wouldn't have to worry about it. Most people on this forum are running spacers, the only guy that had an issue put them on wrong.
