This is my first 4Runner. I've owned a Tacoma and an Tundra, both great vehicles, but the T4R is a cut above.

Arches is beautiful and much larger than I envisioned it to be.
Inferno fit right in the landscape here.
From Arches we pushed on to Canyonlands, where we would camp for the evening. It ended up being about 20 miles offroad, some of which was fairly narrow single track stuff, crossing through dried out creek beds and some sandy/rocky areas. The T4R didn't even break a sweat, only having to engage 4WD once to crawl through a tight little off camber area that was made up of soft sand and rocks.

In regards to the road trip; did your wife have any complaints about the passenger seat (assuming you did the majority of the driving)?
I ask because my wife is 5'2" and 100lbs, and the seat just is not comfortable for her, anything over two hours. For me, I am 6'3" and 230lbs and it is just fine for me.
I was trying to think of something to do to make the passenger seat more comfortable, and wondering if others with similar height/weight have the same complaint about the passenger seat.

She did start to get a bit uncomfortable in the knees due to lack of hamstring support with the passenger seat not being height adjustable. I'm strongly considering doing the "washer mod" once the truck arrives in Hawaii. This involves loosening the seat bolts, then removing the two front bolts, stacking a couple/few of the appropriate size washers between the floor pan and seat frame to lift the front of the seat as much as you'd like, reinserting the front bolts, then tightening everything down. Obviously you want to leave enough length in the bolt for it to get a good bite onto the floor threads. If I decide to go that route I can let you know how it turns out.
We got up and left Canyonlands early, preparing for a long day. The plan was the drive to Zion NP, hike the Narrows, then continue on through Vegas and straight to LA. The Grand Canyon was cut from the itinerary due to time constraints, but I'm sure we'll visit there sooner or later.
The [MENTION=12905]XenonDepot[/MENTION] HID kit gave us plenty of light to navigate out of Canyonlands in the dark and we were treated to a beautiful sunrise just as we exited the park.
Zion provided beautiful views and the hike was refreshing. Chilly water and lots of people, but fun none the less. We were also greeted by a bit of the local wildlife.
The [MENTION=12905]XenonDepot[/MENTION] HID kit gave us plenty of light to navigate out of Canyonlands in the dark and we were treated to a beautiful sunrise just as we exited the park.
Zion provided beautiful views and the hike was refreshing. Chilly water and lots of people, but fun none the less. We were also greeted by a bit of the local wildlife.
We stayed several days in LA visiting family. The only significant truck pictures from there are these. I had Hella Supertones sent to my girlfriend's family's house. I meant to take a few pictures of the install but forgot.
It's very straight forward involving removing the top radiator cover, removing the hood latch trim, unplugging and unbolting the stock horns, fabricating some simple ground wires with a female spade connector on one end and a ring connector on the other, bolting up the new horns securing the ring connector of the ground wire under the horn bolt, and finally connecting the stock wire to the Hella horn.
Found a Jeep playing dress up next to big brother
From LA we went up to San Francisco through Yosemite. Somehow we managed not to take any pictures through Yosemite due to some rain, but it was still very nice. We had dinner at a nice chowder house in Fisherman's Wharf.
In the morning we started up the Pacific coast, with Portland as a destination. Of course the Golden Gate was first on the list.

Through the Redwoods we of course had to drive through a tree
It was slightly tight
Nor cal offered some beautiful views
We ended the evening in Portland. More photos soon
