Picked up some of this

To spray on this plug inside roof

Hard to see but I sprayed the inside of the roof plug with it to stop a tiny drip that occurred only during a few days of flash flooding level rain.

Since the drip was so small and only happened during torrential rain I thought this made more sense than pulling the plug and reinserting to seal as I might end up with more leak issues that route. Went ahead and did both rear ones while I was at it. The front two appear to be over the sunroof drain trays so I didn't worry with them.

Sealant looked good and new drain tubes seem to be working so I put the headliner back up today

Put in some new LEDs from superbriteleds in place of the eBay LEDs. Not sure which I like better yet. I think they put out similar light with less LEDs and easier connection but I ordered these in warm white to look like factory. Will see tonight if bright enough.

Spent the weekend building some puppy gates to limit access so we didn't have to close doors. Didn't like any of the pre-made gates so these are what I came up with. Just need some sanding and paint now.

I was originally going to use a set if these wheels but never came across any more before deciding to get the F5 SCS wheels instead. In order to find somewhere to put it, I decided to just hang as wall art next to my signs.

Some folks will find a wheel on the wall silly but I thought it fit the room. Made a cheap hook out of electrical conduit to hold the spare LX450 wheel on the wall. Didn't have a pipe bender so I used my 20 ton press to make the shape. Used a small scrap of molding wood for a spacer on bottom so it would hang level.

Finally came up with a way to add a little more deterrence.

On a side note, my swing gate rattles away on a bumpy road now just like all the others I've read about and I've already added SS rear body mounts. Guess it's just part of the deal with a swing out on bumpy roads.

FYI, the body mounts are for hard rock hits. Huge rock hits. Not to fix someone else's bumper. That's why we make bumpers without carriers and put the tire under the truck up to a 35" tire. The departure angle is much better as well.

I built a tire carrier in 2001. It did the same thing.

Yeah, I know. That's why I added them because I had movement between the body and bumper and wanted to limit contact. However in that other thread someone started about the rattling swing out they asked me to report on whether the body mounts made any difference. Just didn't remember who started that thread.


Edit: it was [MENTION=58830]JWaldz[/MENTION] that had the oscillation in his swing arm and made the post. In that thread they asked me to let know if the body mounts made a difference. Mine has only really done what his was doing on a washboard dirt bumpy road though and isn't doing it full time. The arm is built well enough it's not going anywhere but I'm sure there would be a way to strengthen it to further limit the flexing that allows it to start oscillating if anyone cared to rebuild it. The rattling alone doesn't bother me enough to tackle it, but the aggravation of opening it every time I want to get in the back hatch might be enough to get me to redesign it one day. LOL

OK they are officially for rock hits. So the bumper does not deflect into the body, that they will do !!!

Good to know if anyone asks about carrier rattling I will say, will not fix issue.

Just like a diff drop will not fix a lift that caused a CV to grenade and fly across the road.

Dont think I've commented here before, great work with the truck man, its practically brand new now! Love the color too!

Sucks to hear about the swingout, my CBI hybrid moves but doesn't rattle. I may add these body mounts as my bumper has flexed into body on huge hits once or twice.

May I ask how this works? I am currently working on this problem and don't want to run a tire carrier either.
