Talented? How about "educated"... Walk out to your truck and look at the suspension components. Find something that resembles a U-Bolt or a leaf spring.
And 13 seconds after clicking search...
the way we got them out was to get a deep socket with wrench on the nut up top and hold the wrench in place, then the other person had a huge pair of channel locks and turned the upper part of the shock to loosen the nut.
I put a socket on the top nut, cut off the dust shield and turned the shock shaft with vice grips. Takes forever but it works...
Only access is from the bottom and it's all by feel. When I installed my lift I used a ratchet and socket and had a buddy hold it while I turned the shock itself. Use a lot of lube on the nut, just put the straw on the tip and spray. Also removing the wheel will help. Hope this helps
