Ugh

I was the same way, in the "Stock" configuration, (just like the new Tacoma trucks)
I was thinking that Toyota screwed up the look on the refresh?!

But when you see it lifted and modified? You really see why they refreshed the look!

That's when you see how Toyota's "refresh" gave it so much more attitude! Way better IMHO!

In the stock configuration I prefer the older "pre-refresh" look better. (10-13yr models)

The refresh IMHO looks odd all stock. (almost retarded:naughty:) That's what kept me from buying the New Tacoma truck. (it looked "Retarded" to me) But the design really works well when given the proper stance!

The designers at Toyota really knew what they were doing!

That's why I can't wait to get my runner lifted.

But to each his own? "Opinions are like a$$holes, Everyone has one!"
Don't let someone's opinion about something sway your opinion! At the end of the day; You're the one who has to live with it!
Life is too short to accept just O.K.!
If you don't like it? Change it! Because no one else will!

Good Luck with what ever you decide!

P.S. In the future can you pick a better title for your posts??? Thank you!:biggrin1:

What's wrong with the 13 SR5?

Maybe I'm the only one here but I like the front-end look of 2010-13 over 5.5gen. Somehow 5.5 front reminds me Storm Troopers to much.

5.0 is actually easier to modify electrically and the only thing I did not like was the "scared frog" look with sticking out orange markers, but they are easy to kill to. And the only thing I really would like to have with me is crawl control and backup camera which my peasant's SR5 doesn't have.

BTW it would be much more difficult to modify 5.5 to register it in Poland.

You're not the only one. But I have to admit I thought of the 5.0 as a soccer mom SUV until I got smacked in the face by my 2014 while I was waiting for my Tundra to be serviced. I took a 2 mile test drive and left the Tundra at the dealership 3 hours later, and 500 miles from home. That nose made that much of an impression on me personally. That nose is also why I looked for - pleaded for if you will - a bumper like the SSS Slimline. Because I didn't want to radically alter the nose. I just feel like the 5.5 has a much more aggressive look. But opinions do vary.
