After a post from another member about upgrading UCAs, I decided to check mine because I need to upgrade mine as well, and wanted to go ahead and place an order for black Friday.

So upon inspection I noticed a grease leak! And I know this isn't normal because it's never happened before. At least not to my knowledge

Are my

⋅bushings needing to be replaced?
⋅ball joints going bad and bushings at the same time?
⋅is the whole UCA trash now?
⋅and is this dangerous/how much time am I looking at before something f**ks up! And then I am screwed

Also I wanted to upgrade these little links, what are they called?

That's not much grease at all, you would be fine running for a while, I ran for a year or more like that, might as well get some new UCA's if you find a Black Friday deal though.

Sway bar end links is what you are looking at, can make your own rear, front new stock ones are all you should really do.

Thanks for clearing that up, shit worries me. I really need new ucas I'm caster/camber is thru the roof. Adjustable ones from spc would be ideal

Just installed my SPC's at +2* Caster and they are great so far, tons more travel than stock and move much more freely since they have the metal sleeves taking the torque vs compressing the rubber.

I'd definitely recommend a 4x4 shop for alignment afterwards. Firestone had no idea what I was taking about when I told them the upper was camber/caster adjustable, then they refused to work on it. Local shop in Dallas got me lined up though, drives great now.

Sweet. Hopefully 4x4 doesn't charge an arm and a leg because they feel "special" to have a vehicle that has different parts on it. But I might let them throw the arms on. Did you do them yourself?

That leak isnt bad at all. I would just put some gasket maker (RTV) used for when you pull the differentials (hi temp, can get it at any auto parts store or through the stealership) on the cut rubber boot. It will at least stop more grease from coming out until you upgrade. The RTV will also stop water and stuff from getting in there in the short term...
