Ultra Gauntlet 17" Wheels with Nitto Terra Grapplers Alignment Issue

Hello everyone,

So I have a set of 17" Ultra Gauntlet Wheels wrapped with Nitto Terra Grapplers 265/70-17. I've had this set up for 1 year now and ever since I had these on, my 4Runner pulls to the right.

I didn't think much of it and on my first service I asked the dealer to check the alignment. They said yes it does pull to the right but they fix it. I pick up the car and of course it's not fixed and still pulls to the right. This goes on 2 more times and the dealer tried to align it 3 times and still pulls. Finally they told me that due to the bigger tire size it pulls and bla bla bla. I'm think yea right is the same tire size, the only difference is the rim is slightly wider. I thought they were trying to BS me. So this weekend I decide to put on my old set of oem rims with oem tires. Low and behold I take it out for a test drive and the pull is gone.

My question is what could have caused the alignment problem? Do I have a bad set of rims or tires? Need some expert opinions.

Hopefully, you've kept track of where the tires were when you took them off. If so, cross rotate the front tires. Sometimes, tires can cause a radial pull.

They claim that the tire can be defective. It is, however, very difficult to prove to the manufacture.
