Unable to Diagnose ABS light

Hi guys, quick question on the fabled ABS light. I'm trying to diagnose the error by reading the code using this method (per my search results):

Turn the ignition ON (don't start the engine)
Pop the hood
Find the "DIAGNOSTICS" connector that's on the drivers side of the engine, on the high edge of the intake plenum.
Pop the top, and you'll see something like:
Code:
+---+---+---+
| | | |
+---+---+---+
| | | |
+---+---+---+
| | |E1 |
+---+---+---+
| |
+---+---+---+
| | | |
+---+---+---+
| |Tc | |
+---+---+---+
+---+---+---+
| | | |
+---+---+---+
+---+
|sp |
+---+
(front of truck)In the lower left, you'll find a small plug that pulls out. That's a "shorting pin", pull it.
Now use a piece of wire to jumper from E1 to Tc
Look back at the dash, the ABS light should be blinking.
The blinking is in a pattern. For example, if you see BLINK-BLINK {pause} BLINK-BLINK-BLINK {long pause} {repeat} that would be code "23"
Once you get the code, pull the jumper wire from E1/Tc, put back the shorting pin, and confirm that you can start the truck.

However when I jump the connector, the ABS light stays solid, however the Airbag and Cruise Control lights blink rapidly. Does this indicate some other error? What does the solid ABS light mean there? Please help!

ok guys, figured it out - I was being an idiot. There is a tiny shorting pin already in the diagnostics connector (my excuse is I didn't spot it cause it was so dirty:dizzy:). If only I'd actually read the instructions properly...

Removed it and got the code. So in case any one is google searching for "fast blinking airbag and cruise light when reading ABS code" there is your answer!

Lost short

I just bought a 99 4runner v6 and the abs light is on while pulling the short pin I dropped it and can’t find it. Is there a way to buy another one? I can’t seem to find it right off online. I know this is an old post but anything will help. Thanks in advance.

You can use a paperclip and the abs code will flash out on the dash.. :)

My Mac Mentor tells me which pins to short to get the ABS light to flash codes. But I do not know which two they are.
