Unknown seal in wheel hub/knuckle; help plls

I was replacing the front axles, and I noticed this seal on the inside of the steering knuckle/wheel hub-bearing is essentially destroyed. Does anyone know what this seal is called and the Toyota part number? I'm not sure if this seal can be removed and replaced or if the wholel bearing needs to be replaced. Thank you in advance. This is an '07 Sport 4WD

The part you highlighted above (90301-92003) is the o-ring. It's hard to tell from your original photo, but my guess is it's from the actual knuckle seal cup (part# 90316 A0001). If I were you I would replace both the o-ring you posted above and the knuckle seal since you're already in there.

I used an SKF seal part number 28739 and have had no issues with it almost 4 years now.

I think this is actually a fairly common issue, but naming that part and thus finding the part number is challenging.

I don't remember exactly how I removed mine, but it came out fairly easy from what I remember. It's just press fit into the knuckle and you're definitely not going to hurt the knuckle.

To reinstall the new one I just used a flat piece of scrap wood that was wide enough to cover the whole seal. Got it started by hand to make sure it's straight, then put the wood flat against it and gave it a couple hits with a mallet. Just want to make sure you hit close to the center so it drives it in straight.

Just pry it out, thick screwdriver or bent style prybar. Pretty easy to remove. You can use a piece of would to pivot on for leverage if needed.

Also, it may not actually be damaged, the spring may have just popped out.

Wanted to loop back to this…
Removing the knuckle seal was easy after soaking in some rust dissolver and then PB blaster. I gently tapped around the sides and then pried it out with a flathead. Below are the old and new seals.

I found replacing the new seal to be tricky. I ended up buying a new dust cap, which indeed fits perfectly around the seal (see pics), and using it to help pound in the seal evenly with a rubber mallet. It took a fair amount of hammering.

I ended u replacing the other side’s seal as well. Well worth it.

One tip: remove the metal bracket (circled in blue) when hammering in the new seal.
