Not sure which one you saw exactly but there are a few awnings that are easier with one person. The Hannibal and Scipio awnings are roll out designs but a little difficult to get a hold of. I think So-Cal teardrops sells the Scipio. Not sure of an dealers in the US for Hannibal. The Eezi-Awn Swift is another option that is easy for one person. It's not a roll-out but it has two swing arms with a center support bar along with legs that drop down. You can get that one from Equipt.

Thanks for the replay. That Eezi Awn may be it. All I recall is that it was an updated style to the standard roll out awnings. I’ve been using an ARB for a few years now and love it, but it does require some acrobatics to set up alone. I could have sworn there was a newer style of roll out awnings that were easier to self deploy, specifically from an “off brand” that copied the major brands but likewise had some good improvements. I’ll check this one out. Thanks again.

I commented about using an arb vs a Chinese clone. The Chinese one being the better one. I don't have time right now but I'll try to get back this thread in a bit.
This is the link that I commented in. I think arb is using the better dual slot design now too. It's not something I would have thought of until I helped a camp neighbor set up his. To follow up on this, I have an ARB 2000 awning along with an Eezi-Awn Series 2000 2m (hard case awning). The Eezi-Awn is currently on the truck and the ARB will eventually go on the gfs truck. I think have the newer ARB revision since mine comes with a dual channel/slot design as mentioned by Jetboy. Both the ARB and Eezi-Awn present challenges setting up alone and the more you set them up the easier it gets. You get the hang of it. Between the two I have the Eezi-Awn series 2000 is a bit easier to set up. That being said something like the Eezi-Awn Swift is just dead simple to use especially if you're setting it up alone. If I could go back again I would have gotten the Swift although the hard case series 2000 has its pluses.
