Yes, but it's really slow and takes forever to charge the battery if it's low. Once you get it charged you can leave it in the car and it will maintain it; but you can't do updates that way. So, I got an aftermarket adapter that works; but Garmin sees it as not one of theirs and gives error messages - but it works. Updates take a lot of time. You have to download the update and then transfer it to the Garmin. I like the way it works though. There is a learning curve on how to operate, set up routes, etc; however there are several Youtube videos out there to help. There are a few different models that differ somewhat in operation - so you need to be specific and get the right one.
