Upgrade Struts with 99 Highlander Springs?

Sup yall. Pretty new on here was hoping to get some insight on something. I have an 02 4runner sr5 I bought about a year ago. Have done some maintenance stuff and upgraded tires. Went up a size in tires to 265/75/16 BFG KO's and now rubs up front when I brake/turn combo. Was hoping installing 99 highlander edition springs giving it the 1" lift all around would fix this. Hows that sound?

Should I upgrade struts at the same time? Im going to be doing some mild off roading and some mountain driving, but this is also my daily and I mainly go to work and back on it so I'd like to keep it a comfortable ride. Here's how it looks now.

Love this car btw! Did amazing in the snow and drives great. Can't wait to take it up to the mountains through some trails.

Do a search for people who have done the 99 tall or 99 highlander spring upgrade. After viewing them I personally have decided to pass on them and go a little higher. Its around a 1 inch lift and as with all things related here its all a matter of preference.

My 4R sits about like yours. I have been considering the sub $800 lift from Toytec that gives you their rear 3" coils and Boss shocks and eibach/bilsteins up front.

I found someone willing to sell me the whole set of 99 talls for $80 bucks but out of concern of the 170k miles on them I may pass.

PS NEVER ditch those rims.

Sorry to hijack:

Can I use stock shocks with 99 tall springs F/R?
I have ordered all new kyb gas adjust shocks all around and now have found a set of tall springs for sale. Will these work together? 1998 4runner :peace:
