Nice write up HRunner! Some of these steps may be very similar if you want to try to update to the 2006 projector head lights. I've got nothing to back that up, just making an assumption.

I do have one question for you though. That last headlight bolt that is hard to get to, is that the bolt that you can see from inside the fender well, there is a little round cut-out in the plastic fender liner, and if you look you can see a bolt head in there. Is that the bolt you are talking about?
You don't have to lay on your back to see it, like you said in your post.

Looks cool. Good write-up. I have 2 questions for you:
1. Do you have H.I.D. or halogen bulbs? Looks like the ones on your picture are halogen.
2. What about light pattern? If you used JDM ones, they should have different cutoff, because they drive on the left side of the road.

Let me "steal" Ryan's picture to explain.... that round cut hole shows in the picture couldn't get you to the last bolt. That's one of the bolt for the bumper. If you don't want to lay under the car, try to remove the bumper....

2) Yes you're correct! That's what I found after a test drive. You will need to adjust the aiming for the JDM lights.

I don't remember exactly, but cost something like 30000yen (around Cdn$330).... I also got the JDM fuel cover with JDM cap.... and I am going to install it later
