Upper and lower ball joint question...

I have a 98' 4wd 4Runner with a Sonoran Steel 1.2 left installed. I have a squeak/grinding noise while turning at slower speeds. It also does this when traveling over bumps that affect one tire/side at a time. Parked I can push above the front wheel well and duplicate the squeak and it seems to be coming from my ball joints. I will have the wife rock the Runner while I'm underneath so I can hopefully pinpoint where it is coming from. Curious if anyone else has, or had this same noise. Thanks in advance.

Jack up the front wheels, put your hands and 12 and 6 o'clock and shake. Do the same at 3 and 9 o'clock. If is shakes it's the LBJ's
