Things go quiet real quick I noticed... LOL! But After reading the 4 pages of this post, I notice a whole lot of going back and forth between pre-vvti and vvti engines and what URD will be producing. I have yet to find any more infor, but from browsing their product line on their website, they only offer a kit for the 2005+ (VVTI engine). I have yet to see anything that says for 2003-2004 unfortunately.

That's because you can put the TRD supercharger on the pre-vvti motor. That's not an issue. The vvt-i motor had issues with the computer leaning the motor out and blowing it. URD has found a way around that.

If you can find a TRD kit it's plug and play. Hard to find these days though. Otherwise you can get a supercharger and run an ecu tuner that you wire in and it tricks the computer. Then you have to have it tuned by a shop that does that stuff.

They have a package all set up for the V6. And apparently they are able to squeeze more power out of a supercharged V6 than a supercharged V8.
That's because the V6 is set up slightly better and better able to handle big boost. The 4.7 was never designed for that, although if you read through the lextreme forums it doesn't take much to make it able to handle gobs of boost! But nobody is doing the machine work and it's retarded expensive.
I just want to stuff a supercharged 5.7 in this thing! Lol

Nah. The 5.7 out of the Tundra and a supercharger with everything tuned up to 600 horse/torque would be tits on my 5000lb rig! Lol. 0-60 in 4 seconds or less with 40" tires on 1 ton axles... Ohhhh baby!!! Lol

This might sound crazy, but I just bought a newer 4Runner in prep for this. I bought the DT headers and then emailed URD (Gadget) about when they are going to come out with a Y-pipe. He said stay on the lookout for it along with the supercharger kit as it will be available any day. This was about 2 months ago. I started thinking about my 2005 with 170k miles and decided to start looking for one with less miles. Found a 2008 with way less miles and not an ounce of rust.
Can't do the supercharger right away since I just dropped some cash on the vehicle, but hopefully will eventually.
