URD making a Supercharger kit for V8 4Runners!!

Yes, 35's, headers, dual exhaust without cats. I haven't regeared yet, but it drives awesome! I spent all summer driving a 251 mile trip to work and home for the weekends, driving 80-90mph. Did great. Hills make the Trans kick down and cruise control is useless above 80 due to this.
I really want the supercharger! But, I know I have several items, home and truck, to take care of before that happens.
I need a sponsor...

A constant whine might get a bit annoying on a road trip. It is cool, but I've heard they have sexy blow off valve noises. Yes, on a supercharger.

I've got some buddies with supercharged S2000s and NSXs and I think the noise is much lighter than say a droning exhaust as far as long trips go. The whistle you'd mainly hear at idle with the windows down, and the whine is really only when you're building boost under throttle. Then it screams.:biggrin2:

That's good to hear. I've been considering 35s for 2017 but don't want to regear without a locker, and headers would be cheaper to help for a bit. Still undecided, i just really want rear bumper first. Seriously curse this forum lol

I will be picking up one of the kits here in a few months. I picked up a URD y-pipe and installed it with a Magnaflow exhaust that I previously installed. I am pretty happy with the y-pipe, it definitely made a difference. It was worth the time and effort. I am in the process of making some modular parts for the Thorley headers as I find time. No real solutions for a bolt on application with those so I am going to put together some "bolt in" pieces for my mule.

Nope. The aren't currently any options to increase power for the lowly V6. Go big or go home with the V8!

Unless you want to try and skimp by with one of the URD kits or the factory TRD kit that tons of people have installed in various 4Runners, FJ's, or Tacomas, etc...

Yeah it hangs a smidge lower than I would like but I dont think it would hang unless you took a real bad line on some super rocky stuff. I think it could be tucked a little more without issues and still maintain the same flow. I dont beat on her when I am in the rocky stuff. Nice and easy =-P I mainly will be using it for some trails, beach and hauling a camper. The SC should be pretty helpful when we are going up some steep grades with the camper. The UCON flex should do pretty well with what Gadget and I have talked about. I like the safety features that it has. Reminds me of the some of the options Haltech has.

Oh that's not bad. I'm all custom now, but I had thought about adapting the V6 one several times.
Would love to hear what tricks gadget has with the supercharger and the computer system! Sooooooo want one!

these are the times i wish i had a VVTi, i really dont want to go hunting for a TRD 4.7SC. but i also think boost + 35's + locker + stock 8" axle and clamshell would call for a bad day for me in the middle of no where

i second this, the 4.7 makes a respectable amount of power stock, superchargers are great and all but i would rather my truck be stock to keep the Toyota reliability. if you just got big tires and want some umph back for towing and dunes just regear:rockon:
