USB Connectivity Issues

Hey there. Did a search and didn't come up with a single thing so I am posting my question. I have recently been having connectivity issues with my USB plug in the 2014 Trail. It will work sometimes and not others. I have tried 3 different cables, 2 that I did not know would work and 1 brand new one. After testing all of them, it still would not charge/play music from my phone.

Has anyone else seen connectivity issues with theirs? My problem will be that it is intermittent. My dealer tends to ignore those issues and my warranty is starting to run out.

Usually when I have an issue (happens very rarely), I just reboot my phone and all is well. Leads me to believe it's my phone that is actually the culprit. But anyway, it seems to work.

I run Galaxy Note 3.

Have been having this issue too. I get in, start 4Runner, and it works fine. Leave work, get in, start 4Runner and it doesn't work. Very intermittent too. I did quite a bit of searching online and have read on other Toyota forums that's it's a known issue but nothing has been done. A lot of folks saying the USB isn't powerful enough to charge phone/play music. I have a hard time believing that since mine does work occasionally. Have you had any more issues? Were you able to resolve them? Thanks!

Btw, I have an iPhone 6S Plus
