USB port/ipod

So my 13 4 runner has had some ipod issues. It started with not allowing me to skip to the next track...now it will not read the ipod, but will charge it. I have read though other posts, but no one has said they found any solutions. I can run it though AUX, but I like to see what is playing. Is it worth paying to get it fixed?

My iPod will occasionally do that in my 2012 LE. I think it has something to do with the way Toyota's software disconnects from the iPod when you turn the truck off.
To get mine to reset, I usually just disconnect the iPod via USB and restart the truck. Usually that will allow it to work again.
My truck has made my iPod totally freeze up where nothing on it works or responds. You can't even manually reset it. When that happens I have to let the battery totally drain and then recharge it.
