USB Splitter For Glove Box?

I searched but couldnt find exactly what Im looking for.

Is there a way I can split the USB thats in my glovebox so that I can use my USB with my drive that I have loaded for music, but that I can also plug my iPhone into so that I can use the Entune features that need my phone plugged in to work. Id like to use them both at the same time.

Something like this..

Is the factory radio/entune able to read and play my music by USB and do traffic or the other apps at the same time?

While I'm running an aftermarket Alpine DVD/NAV HU, I've been looking into making a simple USB A/B switch to swap between a glove-box mounted iPod and the extra USB Port in the lower dash area for swapping in a USB Thumb Drive.

A simple Triple-Pole Double-Throw switch should do the trick with a "Center-Off" as a safety and a way to temporarily "Disconnect" the USB device properly. You'd switch the Data +/- lines, and also switch the +5V line (leave Grounds connected). I've had the switch on-hand for a year - I just haven't had time (or motivation) to solder it up and see if it actually works. Keep the un-shielded portions of USB cable very short at the switch, and it should work fine IMO.

Unfortunately, this A/B solution would disable your Phone while your USB drive is being used for music playback, and vice-versa, but would avoid manually un-plugging one and re-plugging the other (would simply leave BOTH devices connected and flip a switch instead)...

Unfortunately, all of the commercially available USB Peripheral Sharing devices I've been able to find work in the opposite direction (one USB "device" shared across multiple PC's/Controllers).
