Used 2011 Toyota 4Runner Salsa Red SR5

Hello everyone, my name is Dave and I joined these forums about a month ago. And I'm here because I need your help (Those who have 5th Gen 4Runners) I am looking for one and hope to buy one really soon. I found a Used one where I live in Utah for $31,975.00, is that a good price for a used one? It has 25,000 miles on it. It also has Third Row,Bluetooth, Rear Back-Up Camera, 4WD, and a whole lot of other features. Im really interested to hear everyones opinions? So please comment. Also what you think of it being salsa red? should I go with another color like Blizzard Pearl or Black?

Seems like a good price to me, Salsa Red it a great color IMHO. I wish the Limited came in that color. Take it for a test drive and see what you think.

Really? Becase I want it in black but I hear all the stories of how hard it is to maintain a color like that lol. I am going to test drive it today! They also have more in stock in their warehouse which is OUT OF STATE and there cheaper with lower mileage but they need to get rid of them is what the sales person told me. They have a Salsa red with all the features this one has for $29,975.00

Salsa Red is a great color! 25k miles is barely broken in though for me its alot for one year. Ask for a CarFax, make sure its not been in an accident and that its had the proper service done. If it all checks out and YOU are comfortable with it make an offer on it.

I also like the Salsa Red as well. What color interior? Ya 25,000 miles is alot for 1 year old, but no big deal on a T4R. Check out the other Runner you mentioned as well and see which one you like better. I would offer 29,000 and if you like the other one, go in at 27,000. Good luck and happy shopping. Let us know which one you get.

in my opinion that price is kinda high for a truck with 25K!

but, if pickens are slim, maybe you can talk them down a bit and grab it. I think i paid like 33, x for a black sr5 with the same features and 100 miles brand new in feb of 2011 i got black on black, black leather, 4x4 no nav, no 3rd row, no slide out tray...love it

Welcome to the forum. A good price is the price your happy with but to be honest with you........I don't think $31,975 is a good price for a year+ old SR5 with 25k miles. Others on here are getting brand new ones with premium packages for just a little more money.

Welcome to the forum. A good price is the price your happy with but to be honest with you........I don't think $31,975 is a good price for a year+ old SR5 with 25k miles. Others on here are getting brand new ones with premium packages for just a little more money.

Yah, from what I hear the used car market is kind of weird right now. As in, people are looking for used more than new so demand is up and prices are up.

The dealer bought my 2008 Tacoma with 70K back from me for $4K less than I bought it for in 2008. And I am sure he will make some good coin on it when he sells it, as he did not haggle to hard on the trade-in value. He gave me a good price on the new 4rnr too. The dealer gave me pretty much 0% financing as well and there was no toyota specials on the 4rnr when I bought it.

Toyota 4rnrs and tacomas are not great vehicles to buy used IMO, they hold their resale value way too long.

There is something to be said for breaking in your own vehicle and always knowing how it was treated, especially if you plan to keep it for a long time. That all assumes you can afford the new vehicle price to begin with.

Regardless, if the truck is in good shape and the price is right for you, the 4rnr is a great vehicle. I am enjoying mine. And 25K miles is not a ton of miles if the previous owner was in sales or had a long commute. I put 35K on my Tacoma the first year I had it due to a 1.5 hour commute each way for work. At least it should be mostly highway miles.

It is BLACK INTERIOR! and yes it looks nice in SALSA RED but I perfer black lol. and I'm gonna offer them 28 OTD they will either take it or leave it! because 25,000 miles in one year is CRAZY!

OH!!!! 33k with a 100 miles that is basically NEW! I really want a BLACK SR5 with THIRD ROW but damn they are hard to find

when i was originally looking for a 4runner in late 2010 early 2011, i wanted a used one because they were cheaper, but, the prices were so high, so i said screw it, and bought a new one

It was through the dealer, Toyota Financial.

New cars typically allow you to get better rates than used cars in my experience.

IMO, that is not a terrible price. Sure you can get a new one for a couple grand more, but look at the financing. Toyota does 2.9% on a CPO, you will have at least a 5% rate on a new one (based on 750-800 score). You can often negotiate a longer warranty built into the price of a CPO. After purchasing 3 brand new Toyotas in the past, I actually search for CPO vehicles now for the extended warranty and discounted interest rate. There are two sides to every coin. Do what is best for you, and dont settle or you will be doing this again in a year or so (take it from the guy that bought 3 vehicles in two years until I finally bought my t4r).

when i bought my truck, i had perfect credit (29 years old btw) and i put down $14k on the truck, and they tried to screw me with financing. I kept hearing about 2.99%, but, when it all came through they gave me like 5.5% or something. I was pissed, but, at this point, i just wanted to get the hell outta there. I signed the deal, and as soon as all my paperwork came in the mail(probably like a month), i refinanced with a local credit union here in washington dc for 2.49% and made a few bucks by switching. So you can always go that route. Also, the place i did mine through was all online, thats why the rate was low, because it was all done via their website. Thus, you can always re-fi online and find a great rate that way.
