Here in Colorado certain vehicles hold their value very well due to the snow. 4Runners and Subaru's are especially popular.

The dealer that I bought my 4Runner from specializes in late model cream of the crop vehicles and buys them up all over the country at auction - especially from areas where the values are lower. Mine came from Maryland and was a one owner documented pristine example.

I paid top dollar for mine and I'll get top dollar for it should I ever sell it.

Clean 4Runners hold their value for a reason - taken care of they will run forever.

Other vehicles like Jeeps Cherokees, Nissan Pathfinders, GM Whatevers do not hold their value remotely as well in this market.

:iagree: Snowy areas definitely command higher prices for 4x4s. There are a lot of people around here that still drive early 80's and even one or two '79 Yota pickups because they never die and they kick ass in the snow. They go for almost as much as a 3rd gen here.
