Hi Guys, I've posted a few posts, but thought I would introduce myself. From the Portland area, just got my first 4Runner, 2016 TEP Mag Grey, stock except for Duratrac 265/70/17 tires. I spent over a month trying to find a new one, but ended up with a used one with 23k miles and so far I absolutely love it.
Hopefully I can help out a bit here, I spent 5 years in the late 90's as a Toyota tech mainly doing 4runner and Land Cruiser engine overhauls, and I do all my own work besides heavy line, but with this baby, I don't think I'll need to do much heavy line work as they should be reliable for years to come. I do remember doing a fair amount of head gaskets on the v6's at low miles so who knows.
So far all I've done with mine is hacked the computer using Techstream to make some extra key fobs and change simple settings, then replaced all the interior lights with LED's.
I'm very excited to maybe do some Overlanding for the first time in my life. Would love to get involved in the local PNW community if there is one, I'm pretty new to this all.
Good day to you guys.
