Used XREAS in NE US

I'm about to pull the XREAS off of my 4Runner in exchange for a new lift. If anybody is in need of a replacement system on their failing XREAS, I'd be willing to take it off in the more cautious manner. My 4Runner is a 2008 with 70k miles. I just got it last fall but I believe it's spent its life in the northeast (MD/PA/DE) part of the US so it's not going to be completely perfect in terms of zero salt wear, but I have yet to find any signs of leaking. If anybody needs it, I'm willing to give it up very cheaply (in terms of a few ounces of God's golden nectar). Sorry, since there's no money to be made and it's a messy component, I won't be able to ship. I can possibly meet somebody reasonably close if you're good people in need of help, but the price goes up for travel.

If nobody needs this, it's going to the dumpster. If this is in the wrong section, sorry. I'm not trying to sell anything, just looking for somebody with a "technical need," so thanks for understanding.

I would love to have it as a spare, but live in Missouri. If you end up trashing it, maybe we could work something out for just the shocks?

I dunno, from what I understand, the XREAS system is under pressure so to speak. Disconnect a shock or whatever, and "hydraulic fluid" starts to come out (not sure if it will gush or ooze out) rendering the system worthless. The system can NOT be refilled or "topped off". XREAS is stupid like that. I like it, but most hate it.

I really like it. It does have fittings, so I assume you can take it apart. Don't know how you would install a new system put together as one piece. There must be check valves somewhere.

oh yes, there are valves (fittings), one just has to be very careful. When Toyota replaced mine, I had them box them b/c I wanted them back. When I got home (they were placed in a box), i noticed they put a seal on the fitting so no fluid escaped.

On some threads, some people mention that it can be messy when you are taking them off, so I thought I would comment.
