V6 MAF

V6 MAF sensor looks way different than pictures of V8 MAF. Does cleaning this style MAF help as well?

It should help it. But every time I've pulled mine and cleaned it, it really didn't need it.

I cleaned mine for the first time at 45k (about the time I found this amazing site). I can tell you it made a huge difference. The most noticable improvement was throttle response. It probably restored lost horsepower as well.

Thanks guys, I'm going to do it and see if it helps mileage any. I'm at 53K and I'm sure it was never done.

Do not use brake cleaner (as it may be too aggressive) electrical contact cleaner or MAF cleaner is a weaker solvent and better for the very thin thermistor wire. CRC makes great cleaners for this. Just spray it in all of the orifices and that
