I've got the V8 and love it. Not only is the engine more reliable, will last longer, has more torque, it comes with a transmission cooler that the V6 doesn't have.

My 2005 has 201,000 miles and runs well,very very slight valve train noise- have to have hood open to hear it.Bought from orig owner who changed oil regularly,not sure about other maintenance items
