V8 conversion

Hey buddy, you ever get my PM's? I know I've had crap luck getting notifications sometimes so I figured that's probably the case .... that or you just plain don't like me :cry2::cry2::cry2:

Sorry bud. I have not been keeping up with the forums. I will chk my messages this evening.

Worked on the Surf this last Sunday. Mind you that this is peak allergie season for me so i spent most of it sneezing and scratching my eyeballs out.

Here is the stock fuel pump fro the 4runner.

The Tundra fuel pump was a sender unit slash pump module.

I break it down and got the pump and mounted it to the 4runner gas tank stay.

Married the body to the chassis too. Took longer with snot sickles and water draining from the eye sockets.

Engine in the bay before the hooking the hoses and wire harness routed to trough the fire wall.

All buttoned up

Plastic intake.... Vvti 4.7????

The V8 makes 315 lb/ft which is very smooth, Lexus type power. I am not knocking on the supercharger but this is power made on regular unleaded.

If i find a supercharger for the 2UZ at a good price, I wouldn't turn it down.:hungry:

...... I have a 2uz SC I'll sell you.

any updates? wickeed thread by the way, only 55 page thread ive read from start to finish. GREAT WORK MAN!!!!:usa2:

Sorry for the delay. I have had one weekend right after another with stuff to do IE Mothers day, Graduations, Wife Taking an overseas vacation and the regular day to day business.

So this last weekend, I was able work on the surf some .

Here is the AC i had to have cut and welded.

I used the Tundra high pressure line from the Compressor to the 4runner's condenser.

Relocated the high preasure line from the bottom to the top.

Here is the low pressure side welded and all.

Thank you Jeezus!

I had a sneaky suspicion today would be a good day. I'll let you share the news about the addition you have planned for your V8:bravo:

I wish i had done this Mod on my runner - 03-04 V8 4runner air box.

Mounting the studs on the inner fender.

Bolting the Airbox bottom in

Nice new air cleaner.

Installed

So much nicer looking then my ghetto air cleaner.

The big issue with the 03-04 air box is that it uses differen MAF the the VVTI motor.

Here is the 03-04

Here is the 05-06 VVTI MAF

Nothing a saws all could help.

A little plastic weld.

An implant.

Vol la

And Now where the old air cleaner used to be is the power steering reservoir..

Does this look like enough room for an electric Fan?

Boo Yah

James had an Aux tranny cooleer mounted so I re-installed it and hooked it up the 5 speed.

Toyota coolant is expensive! $25 per gallon from Carquest. Autozone, O'Reillies or Advance didn't carry the red stuff- They all had the generic universal crap.

...... I have a 2uz SC I'll sell you.

I am the proud owner of a TRD Supercharger.

This is the 9th and 10th injected model.

And I got some Forged Rods to boot.

I Promised myself that I would finish Jame's swap before installing this bad boy so everybody will have to wait:shrug:
