V8 oil leak at timing belt tensioner and crank position sensor

I’ve got a 2005 v8 and I’m noticing oil seepage in the front. The timing belt tensioner is wet along with the crank position sensor and the very front of the oil pan. Only 200,000 miles and timing belt was done by Toyota 10k miles ago.

What could this be?

I'd take it back and see what they say it is...it could be almost anything...like a poor performing tech service at dealerships...I wish there was an easy answer, but I'd have them check it out! 200k miles, if maintained well enough, is nothing for this engine!

It's been a while since I did the timing belt project but how did you determine the belt tensioner is moist? It lives behind the timing cover and not easily visible. The crank position sensor isn't too far away from the main seal so that could mean that the main seal is seeping, but that's a WAG at this point. The other clue is that the front of the oil pan is moist which could point the finger to the front seal. See if you can shine some light behind the front crankshaft pulley and look for oil seepage.
