V8 radiator outlet snapped

2006 V* w/ 175k. Driving on the freeway today the upper outlet must have sheered off, leaving me on the side of the road.
Plastic huh?!
What else should I replace besides the radiator and fluid?

To me, it looks like your upper radiator hose just slid off. No wonder, as the hose looks very dry and I would replace it ASAP. Other than that, I don't think you have any problems with the radiator

To me it looks like there would be nothing for the hose to clamp to hold onto.
You can even see where the plastic on the radiator got brittle and sheered off.
Compared to this picture off the web you can see there should be a ridge on the plastic for the hose clamp to "clamp" to.

Definitely replace the hoses as well, keep and use the original OEM clamps as they're constant pressure clamps and will work better over time than the screw clamps as the rubber hoses dry up a bit, the OEM clamps still apply pressure as the rubber shrinks, screw clamps will be loose by that time.

You might be able to get a new hose, put a worm gear clamp on it, and get a few more miles out that radiator. But, yea you can tell the retainer lip is gone.
