maybe you need to disconnect the battery and reset the computer. Maybe you didn't push the truck hard during the break in period, and the computer thinks that you are a grandpa and adjust the truck accordingly. ;)

Is this the only way to reset it? I noticed (I think) after I drove to Cleveland, OH from Atlanta that the sluggish went away. Mine after 15k drive great, and takes off faster than my sisters 02 Sequoia

I was riding with my wife in our 03 and holding on
as usual and told her to pass a slow truck, whooooooo
she did not only pass him but blew his doors off.
and scared the s**t out of me.I had not pushed this
truck like she did,and was totally blown away.

Try passing a truck with a supercharger under your hood. My wife got a little to excited the other day and punched it almost scaring the crap out of some poor guy in an explorer.

Any of you speed racers have larger-than-stock tires? Mine are 270s. I wonder if that is messing with the trucks' brain (the dealer says it shouldn't).

mine are 275/75/R16's, acceleration is actually better, now that I've got flowmasters.

Man you should hear it rumble - and then scream when I punch it...

Got any pics of that flowmaster. I'm curious to see how it looks.

Yeah but you're running 16 inch wheels and I'm on 17s...

Maybe I'll try the battery disconnect thing. Am I gonna have to reprogram anything (like the radio)?

Yes, however 1st, the overal diameter of my tires & wheels are bigger than yours, and 2nd, I had 17's, and was fast then too.

Just personal preference. You like your Borlas out the side, right?

Oh ya the Cali. Concepts runner. That thing looks sweet. Any reason why you choose to go directly out instead of to the side.

Yup, love the side look. I guess it is personel preference. Did you see a performance improvement with the flowmaster?

Slight, hard to tell for sure with the seat of the pants dyno. Plus the tires are about 3/4 to 1" bigger in overall diameter, so might be breaking even in acceleration.

Seems faster, though. Certainly SOUNDS faster ;-)

I had dual pipes out the rear at first but couldnt stand the sulfur smell coming in the back window in the summer when it was down...so now i have the borla and dont get the smell when ihave the back window down....your 4runner looks really good though...nice work

Thanks man! Hopefully that won't be a problem for me as I like never roll down the rear window...
